    This chapter teaches the skills students can use to improve and maintain physical health by eating breakfast, practice better self-care and prevent chronic diseases such as diabetes.

    The Healthy Me Reflection is an opportunity for student to assess their SMART Goal progress as well as their challenges.

    Liking Your Reflection, Find Your Strength, Get Your ZZZ’s to Get Your AAA’s, The Brand of You This chapter provides further information about the HealthCorps pillar mental resilience. Students will be introduced to important skills to maintain a healthy life style and mind and learn about developing a positive body image, the importance of regular sleep, and self-confidence in this section.

    Supplemental Healthly Eating

    Evolution of an Eater, Food Mood Connection, Food and Chronic Disease, Media Literacy, Balance Your Day This chapter continues to build on the second pillar of HealthCorps curriculum and goes deeper into the fundamental skills of healthy eating behaviors. Students will learn how eating behaviors have changed, the impact food has on mood and chronic diseases, the influence media has on eating patterns, and the importance of balancing nutrient intake.

    Supplemental Healthy You

    Coping with Chronic illness, Busting up Bullying, Healthy Relationships This chapter includes pertinent information related to all three pillars of HealthCorps—mental resilience, nutrition and fitness. It provides skills to students to improve their relationships, breaking down bullying, thus creating a more positive environment, and how to live with chronic disease and improve health.

    Extracurricular Activities

    Understanding Organ and Tissue Transplants, Understanding Organ Donors, How Organ Donation Works This chapter provides an honest insight to the importance of organ transplants and donations. Students will learn about organs, tissues, and how transplants work. Students will continue to understand the importance of organ donation and how they can become donors to help save lives.
